1. Who we are

This policy explains what personal information this website handles, why we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to visits to this website and to messages you send us from it. Work we do for a client under a separate agreement is covered by that agreement.

2. Information you give us

This website does not ask you to create an account, and it does not store an enquiry form. If you email us or call us, we receive what you choose to send: your name, email address, phone number, company, and the details of your project.

We use that information to reply, to decide whether we can take the work, and to keep a record of the conversation. We keep enquiry records for as long as the conversation is open and for a reasonable period afterwards, or longer where we must keep them for accounting or legal reasons.

3. Information collected automatically

Like most websites, the service that hosts swayfolks.com records technical logs. Those logs can include your IP address, the date and time of the visit, the page requested, the referring address, and the browser and device type. We use logs to keep the site available, to diagnose faults, and to protect it from misuse. Hosting logs are kept for the period set by the host, which is typically a short operational window.

4. Analytics

When a Google Analytics 4 measurement ID is configured for the live site, we use Google Analytics to see which pages are visited and how the site is used in aggregate. Google may receive your IP address, general location, device and browser details, and the pages you open. Google’s handling of that data is described in Google’s privacy policy. You can also use the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

If no measurement ID is set, the site does not load Google Analytics and does not send visit data to Google.

5. Cookies

This website does not use cookies to sign you in or to remember a shopping cart. If Google Analytics is enabled, Google sets cookies or similar storage to distinguish visits and to measure use of the site. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking analytics cookies does not stop you from reading the site or emailing us.

6. How we use personal information

• To answer your email or call and to discuss a possible project.
• To run, secure, and fix this website.
• To understand, in aggregate, which pages are used, when analytics is on.
• To meet accounting, tax, and other legal duties that apply to our business.

We do not sell personal information. We do not use it for automated decisions that produce legal effects about you.

7. Who we share it with

We share personal information only as needed with:

• The email and phone services that carry messages you send us.
• The company that hosts this website, for delivery of the pages and for logs.
• Google, when analytics is enabled, as described above.
• Advisers or authorities, when the law requires it or when we need to protect our rights.

Some of these providers process data outside India. Where that happens, we rely on the provider’s contractual and security measures for that transfer.

8. Links to other sites

Pages may link to Instagram, LinkedIn, or other websites. Those sites are not operated by us. Their privacy practices are their own, and this policy stops when you leave swayfolks.com.

9. Children

This website is meant for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, write to harshit@swayfolks.com and we will delete it.

10. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect personal information we hold, including access limited to people who need it for the purposes above. No website or email system is perfectly secure. Please do not send passwords, payment card numbers, or government identity numbers in an ordinary email.

11. Your choices and rights

Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you may ask us for a summary of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or erase it, and raise a grievance about how we handle it. You may also nominate another person to exercise these rights if you die or become unable to do so.

Send requests to harshit@swayfolks.com. We may need to confirm that the request comes from you. We will respond within the time the law requires. We may refuse a request where the law allows us to keep the information, for example for a legal claim or a statutory record.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India once the relevant procedure is in force.
